How to be patient during a crisis
What do you do when there's nothing you can do?
Our patience is being tested like never before, but, as we might still have a long way to go, how can we make the most of it?
.
1. Focus on the positive ✨
When all this started, I have beaten myself up for not making the decision to move somewhere with an outdoor space fast enough. Now, I could spend every day thinking how much better it could have been, or I can focus on how lucky I am to have a roof over my head, to be healthy, to spend more time with my family.
.
2. Use the time wisely ⏳
I am not suggesting to start a thousand new hobbies (something many people actually have even less time for - hello any parent in the world!). Take this time to think or rethink about what really matters in your life. You have the one in a lifetime opportunity to switch off the background noise and focus on YOU. Do you think in a crisis it's crazy to think about changing career, or decide to move elsewhere, or re-evaluate your relationships? There was never a better time.
.
3. Make exciting plans 🚀
How are you going to turn your lockdown dreams and hopes into reality? Start planning! This will give you great energy and motivation. You don't have to make major life changes, but can start small, thinking about how to be more sustainable for example, or how to do something differently, or implementing the good or healthy habits you have started during this time.
